lyrics
You are gone elsewhere, I am gone sleeping
Don’t bother to lock the door
Aren't you delusional I am not dreaming for seeing
Your hand prints and crying on the floor
I know you’re wanting more
But I can’t fake it anymore
I’ll let you go when someone believes me
That you once showed me the way to go
Just ‘cause your hands are bigger than mine
Doesn't mean the ink won’t show
Do you hide outside where the deers go?
Don’t bother to try more
I am delusional to think I can count for or want more
Than the animals you’ve walked inside our door
I’ll let you go when someone believes me
That you once showed me the way to go
Just ‘cause your hands are bigger than mine
Doesn't mean the ink won’t show
I’ve been trying to heal the sore
I’ll keep the bracelet in my drawer
I know that I was the one you adored
But your version of family is a war
I’ll let you go when someone believes me
That you once showed me the way to go
Just ‘cause your hands used to hold mine
Makes me wanna see you, glow
Melodic alt-pop in the vein of Soccer Mommy is driven by winding guitar lines and augmented with dreamy shoegaze elements. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 14, 2021
This is great shoegaze music, integrating both guitar and elecronic sounds at times. Choosing a favorite track was tough -- I went with Iteration, though White Noise and Translations easily could have the distinction as well. I hope Mint Julep releases all their material on Bandcamp, including the older recordings. todd1049
